Dealing with Stop Errors in Windows 7
STOP errors in Windows operating systems is a message that is displayed with blue screen when Windows encounters a serious problem that make it impossible for O/S to continue running. Windows 7 includes a variety of information sources and debugging tools that can be used to identify the cause of Stop errors. If you experience a Stop error, don’t panic. Instead, run through the following troubleshooting checklist to isolate the problem and find a solution
- Check your System BIOS
- Look for the driver name in the error list
- Hardware issue (old hardware or problem with new added hardware)
- Check the memory (RAM) on your machine
- Search the Knowledge Base
- Any new hardware / software added to the machine
