What is it ?

Different exe and msc files allows you to access respective program with ease either with your normal account or administrative account. This can be achieved by creating shortcut of these files on to your desktop.

How do i do it ?

There are different methods and ways to access your exe and msc files in your computer. All these files are stored in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 ( C: = your hard drive where your O/S is installed).

You can right click on any exe or msc files and click on run as to run program as logged in user or administrative rights user.

There is another easy method to create shortcut to these exe and msc file in to your desktop rather than going through files in your C:\WINDOWS\system32. To create shortcut to these files follow following steps

Step 1 :

Right mouse click on any space on desktop and click on New > shortcut.

Step 2:

Type the name of exe or msc files and than click on next and finish.

Taskmanager = taskmgr.exe

Computer Managment = compmgmt.msc

Device Manager = devmgmt.msc

Dr Watson = drwatson.exe

Once you finish doing this you will be seeing this icons in your desktop

Step 3:

Right mouse click on any of these icons and click on Run as. You can run these files as a logged in user or as adminstrative rights user.
