What is it ?

Your mailbox size is affected by things other than just emails received, sent and deleted. Two folders which can become oversized are Sync Issues and Conflicts. Outlook 2003 synchronises itself regularly to send and receive items and if duplicate copies of conflicting items are found they are saved in a folder. It also stores logs, work done on the BlackBerry and other information in these folders. These folders can be cleaned out, the same way you clear Deleted Items and Sent Items.

How do I do it ?

Finding the Sync Issues and Conflics Folders

1. Ensure you are in Outlook 2003.

2. Switch to Folder List.

3. Under your Inbox is a folder called Sync Issues, click + to Expand this folder. Sync Issues subfolders display

4. To delete Sync Issues email, click on folder, highlight all the email and do shift + delete.

5. To delete Conflict folder emial., click on folder, highlight all the email and do shift + delete.
