Check RAM issues with Windows Memory Diagnostic tool in Windows 7
Random Access Memory (RAM) provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit). RAM can be compared to a person's short-term memory and the hard disk to the long-term memory. When people refer to a computer's memory, they usually mean RAM. Windows 7 has inbuilt diagnostic tool which is able to check RAM issues and provide a full report to help you locate and solve problems.
Follow following steps to access the diagnostic tool and check for RAM issues;
Step I - Click on start menu and in the search box, type Windows Memory Diagnostic as shown below.

Step II - Click on Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Step III - You should see Windows Memory Diagnostic window as shown below

Step IV - Click on Restart now and check for problems (recommended) option as shown below

Step V - At this stage your computer will restart and instead of the usual boot screen you will see a diagnostic widow as shown below

Step VI - By default, the Standard text mix is selected and will run automatically.If you press F1 you will be able to configure the tool such as the type of Test Mix: Basic, Standard and Extended and pass count.
Step VII - If you press F1, You will be taken to below screen, choose your test mix and click on F10 to apply.

Step VIII - After the test is over, your computer will reboot again and it will report errors found next time user logs in to Windows. It will show the message even if there is no error found as shown below
