Basic Printer Troubleshooting

Printer troubleshooting is abit complicated as there are a different types of printer from different manufacturer. Here are some tips on how to tackle the printer problem at your home

Printer connected to single PC won't Print

1. Check if Printer cable is connected to both the PC and Printer, if not make sure it is connected.

2. Make sure you choose right printer as your default printer in Printers and faxes.

3. Make sure that printer is on ready mode and not offline.

4. Make sure Printer has paper and toner.

5. Try printing something else and if it prints than it could be something to do with application you are trying to print.

6. Make sure computer C: drive have enough space for print spooling (above 100 MB).

7. Last thing you can try is to uninstall and install back printer driver.
