Avoiding Virus Infection
First defense against viruses is to avoid getting infected, common sources of virus infections include the following,
1. E-mail message attachements.
2.Software downloaded from the Internet.
3. Removable disks (e.g., USB and floppy disks) brought from other offices, or from home.
4. Systems that do not have antivirus software installed.
Antivirus software is the best protection against virus infection and sometimes only chance of clearing an infected system without losing all the system data. Most antivirus programs can be instlled on the local hard disk and can support the creation of an antivirus disk that can be used to clean an already infected system.
